Dr. Alison Smith

Dr. Smith is a 2014 graduate from New York Chiropractic College. Her passion for chiropractic started as a young athlete with multiple ankle and knee injuries from soccer and track. Her chiropractor gave her the ability and education to maintain proper biomechanics, even through injury, to allow for less time off and reduced occurrence of injury. During her studies in Biochemistry at Niagara University before chiropractic college, she had worked at a pharmacy for three years. During that time, she saw the extent of pain and dysfunction the average person is walking around with, while taking medication upon medication without receiving any relief. In deciding to become a chiropractor, Dr. Smith went back to her roots and wanted to be that practitioner that had helped her stay at the peak of her game. She wanted to treat the actual cause of the issue, not just the symptoms.

Dr. Smith specializes in treating the body as a whole in getting to the actual cause of the dysfunction. She understands that each patient responds differently to various treatments. For this reason, Dr. Smith is trained in a multitude of techniques and therapies. She is certified in Thompson Drop Technique, Activator Technique, RockTape kinesiology taping, and ConnecTX instrument assisted soft tissue technique. Dr. Smith also earned her Masters in Applied Clinical Nutrition from New York Chiropractic College. Dr. Smith is an active member of the Pennsylvania Chiropractic Association.

In her spare time, Dr. Smith participates in soccer, yoga, boxing, zumba, and getting outdoors whenever humanly possible! She also has a passion for music and attending concerts all year long.

The employees are very nice and work to their fullest to get your back into alignment. I strongly recommend this chiropractic team.

Make Yourself at Home

You’ll find plenty of convenient parking and a well-lit parking lot. You’ll be greeted by name when you enter our office and given a short tour to get you acquainted with our facilities.

If you’ve already completed your New Patient Application, great! If not, after doing so we’ll likely show you a short 5-minute video and then you’ll meet Dr. Leah Samuels.

We Explain Everything First

The purpose of your consultation with the doctor is to discuss your health goals and see if chiropractic is likely to help you. If it looks promising, a thorough examination will help identify the cause of your problem.

Patients appreciate that we explain everything in advance!

Second Visit Expectations

After we study your health history and correlate our examination findings, we’ll make recommendations designed to help you get and keep your health. We call this the Report of Findings. This is usually attended to on your second visit, which may be later the same day or the following day. This two-visit approach accomplishes several things: Reduces the length of your first visit, Gives us time to correlate our findings, and Avoid overloading you with too much information.  In certain situations, and in the professional judgment of Dr. Samuels, we sometimes make exceptions. It just depends on your unique situation.
