What is a Chiropractor?

Chiropractors are doctors that cares for a patient’s neuromusculoskeletal system — the bones, nerves, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Chiropractors perform adjustments (manipulations) to the spine, extremities or other parts of the body. The goal is to correct alignment problems, ease pain, and support the body's natural ability to heal itself. Through spinal adjustments, the body improves the neuromusculoskeletal system’s ability to perform and improves the functioning of other systems throughout the body. Additionally, they provide supportive care directed at nutrition, physical therapy modalities and exercise.
