Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field (PEMF)

PEMF is a benefit for Mankind from infant to the geriatric. PEMF will lead to a change in the paradigm of medicine.

Dr. Linus Pauling — Double Nobel Prize Winner

What is PEMF?

If you have ever held two magnets in your hands, and felt a resistance between them, then you have experienced a magnetic field. That type of magnetic field is produced by a static magnet and is called a static magnetic field.

Similar to the way that a changing magnetic field generates an electric field, a changing electric field generates a magnetic field. Since the magnetic field is being generated by an electric current, it’s called an electromagnetic field – a physical field produced by moving electrical charges. PEMF stands for pulsed electromagnetic field.

Magnetic fields affect the charge of the cell membrane, which allows membrane channels to open. These channels are like the windows of a house. By opening cell channels, nutrients are better able to enter the cell, and waste is more easily eliminated from the cell. This helps to rebalance and restore optimum cell function. If you restore enough cells, they will all work more efficiently. We all know that the body ages over time. Maintaining the function of every individual cell at an optimal level every day is an important part of slowing aging.

How quickly will my illness or health issue improve?

Minor imbalances in individual cells can be rebalanced very easily before they become an obvious problem. Many times we wait until there is a significant health problem It is important to say that PEMFs are not expected to cure disease. Their role is to stimulate the various functions of the body so that the body can better support and heal itself. Understanding the extent of a health problem will help the individual to have realistic expectations of the time required to produce expected or desired results. Your chiropractor will guide you to the proper use of a PEMF system to provide maximum benefit to you.

How long is a session?

This can vary depending on the condition being treated and the health status of the individual.

Sessions typically range from 8-20 minutes.

**We would recommend 3-4 sessions per week to see maximum benefit. The more sessions you can do in the week will result in quicker results!

Kinesio Tape

Kinesio Tape is a therapeutic procedure using a special application of tape to complement your chiropractic adjustment.

Kinesio tape is ideal for:

  • Reducing pain
  • Helping adjustments hold by gently supporting the area
  • Reducing swelling by improving lymphatic flow
  • Correcting muscle function by reducing muscle fatigue and over contraction

Muscle Stimulation

Electrical stimulation to the muscle can have a pain reducing/analgesic effect.  It increases localized blood flow and can help to rehab muscle tissue that has been injured.

Mechanical Traction
The intersegmental traction table mobilizes the spinal column while simultaneously stretching the ligaments and muscles. This helps to increase blood flow and oxygen to discs, ligaments and muscles, thereby improving balance, strength and mobility..

Acceleration Training with Vibration Therapy

Vibration machines transmit waves of energy throughout the body, activating muscle contractions between 25 and 50 times per second.  This can enhancing overall performance. Acceleration Training equipment offers a host of benefits, ranging from an immediate improvement in blood circulation, to a variety of other measurable outcomes such as increased muscle strength and flexibility, improved range of motion, increased bone mineral density, reduced pain and soreness and faster recovery.

Therapeutic Exercises

Therapeutic exercise is the systematic and planned performance of body movements or exercises which aims to improve and restore physical function. Your doctor will design a plan to help stretch, strengthen, and stabilize your condition

In-House Massage Therapy

Massage therapy involves treating the muscles, ligaments, tendons, skin, fascia, and connective tissues. Different massage methods are utilized by the massage therapist to achieve the goals of the massage. It can increase circulation and improve the efficiency of the lymphatic system and other organs enabling them to release trapped toxins and improving overall wellness of the body.  Please reference our Massage Therapy service page for additional details.
